ISLA CONTOY & ISLA MUJERES EXCURSIONS
Discover an untouched, uninhabited island with lush vegetation,
primarily characterized by dense mangroves, and home to thousands of birds from the entire Mexican Caribbean.
The island serves as a breeding ground for various species of sea turtles and is home to nearly 3000 frigatebirds, brown pelicans, flamingo colonies,
thousands of cormorants, and a nesting site for over 150 bird species.
Isla Contoy is a designated and protected natural reserve with white dream beaches, nearly a hundred different plant species,
and millions of colorful exotic fish in the crystal-clear waters surrounding the island.
COURSE OF THE EXCURSION:
During this excursion, embark on a boat journey from Punta Sam, commencing with a snorkeling adventure at Isla Contoy.
Our time on the island is approximately 3 hours, and the visit to Isla Mujeres on the return trip lasts around an hour.
It is advisable to make reservations well in advance for this excursion.

RECOMMENDATION:
- Please bring enough money for personal expenses such as souvenirs or alcoholic drinks.
- We have drinks in the minivan, but it is still advisable to carry 1 liter of water on your person when entering the archaeological sites.
- Headgear is recommended.
- Do not forget your swimsuit.
- It is not advisable to go on tour with slippers.
- Under no circumstances apply sunscreen before the tour or only biodegradable sunscreen.
In the freshwater cenotes on the Yucatan Peninsula, strict attention is paid to water quality, as some of this water is still drunk.
The chemicals used in conventional sunscreen destroy the corals and are harmful to marine life.
For this reason, sunscreen is no longer permitted in Mexico in many natural parks of the Riviera Maya and also on Cozumel.
