BACALAR EXCURSIONS
A visit to Bacalar Lagoon is the ideal excursion to unwind.
This gem in southern Yucatán invites you to simply relax, unwind, and enjoy a refreshing dip in the cool waters.
This idyllic and secluded place, located by the freshwater lagoon of the same name, is famous for its pirate history and the San Felipe pirate fort.
Due to the numerous shades of blue and turquoise in its shimmering waters, it is also nicknamed the “Lagoon of Seven Colors.”
COURSE OF THE EXCURSION:
After visiting Cenote Azul and a light breakfast, the journey continues to the beautiful beach of Balneario Marmol.
The pontoon boat ride lasts approximately 2 hours.
During lunch at the restaurant, we choose delicious à la carte dishes.
To conclude the day trip, we visit the large colorful Bacalar letters for souvenir photos, and then we return in a relaxed and comfortable manner.
WHAT DOES THE EXCURSION INCLUDE?
- Good mood
- Pick-up and drop-off at hotel lobby in air-conditioned minivan for 20 people
- Entrance fees
- taxes
- insurance
- lunch
RECOMMENDATION:
- Please take enough money with you for personal expenses such as souvenirs or alcoholic drinks.
- We have drinks in the minivan, but it is still advisable to carry 1 liter of water with you when you enter the archaeological sites.
- Headgear is recommended.
- Don’t forget your swimsuit.
- It is not advisable to go on tour with slippers.
- Never apply sunscreen before the tour or only biodegradable sunscreen.
- In the freshwater cenotes on the Yucatan Peninsula, strict attention is paid to water quality, as some of this water is still drunk.
- The chemicals used in conventional sunscreen destroy corals and are harmful to marine life.
For this reason, sun protection is no longer permitted in Mexico in many natural parks in the Riviera Maya and also on Cozumel.
